Paddock Arts

As a class we discussed what a landscape was and what were some objects that one would paint in a landscape.  The children then were give the 3 primary colors, white (for tints) and black (for shades) and were encouraged to create a landscape of their own.  The following week we read the book Micauwber which is about a squirrel who creates his own art museum.  So as a final touch the children created title and frames for their landscapes and we made our own mini art museum in class.  Their titles and paintins are quite creative.
