Google Doodle

 

The Google Doodle (Their home page design) has become synonymous with the internet.  On special occasions the artists at Google create special graphics to commemorate Birthdays or anniversary's of special events.  As a class we studied various examples of these "special doodles".  We also looked at finalists and winners of the past Doodle for Google contest that they run each year.  We discuss which ones had strong visual elements and which ones fell short on design.

 

The student then got to work brainstorming ideas for thier own Google Doodle.  Using their peers as springboards for ideas the children worked on either their own vision or could enter the Google nationwide contest.  Either way if you visit the Paddock Gallary you can see some ingenious disigns.
