Spacescapes

Multimedia depth study

 

After studying several examples of spacescapes  we brainstormed objects that could be in our artwork.  Next they began working on their planets, planet surface, and stars.  The students used oil pastels, watercolor paint to create most of the colors. 

 

Once we had all the parts colored the students put everything together using the collage method of cutting or tearing the pieces and then gluing them down in a composition that was desirable to them. 

 

Next they added in small details, like Alien cities, spaceships, etc.. Last they added in shadows to create more depth.

What they created were Other world masterpieces.
