Fashion design- Bucketfeet

 

To start off the year, I am trying to help the children to think of using their artistic skills to make money.    The company bucketfeet looks for artists to submit designs to them and if they like it they will pay the artist money and a commission for each pair of shoes sold with their design. 

This helps children understand the real world application of arts.  The children use each other as creative consultants to discuss strentgths and weaknesses of a desgin.  We also discuss what the maketable strentghs are of their design.  Who would buy them?  Is it a large group? etc.  

With all the great ideas becoming reality there is bound to be some new entrepreneours emerging.
